Au cas où cela intéresserait certains, voici un mail officiel d'info reçu cet AM de la Brompton team à propos du projet X de développement du Brompton électrique.
Le projet semble repartir de 0 ... effroyable moi qui pensait, selon certains dires, qu'il était dans une phase de développement hyper avancée et quasi en test en Allemagne et Pays bas.
Les kits ont encore de beaux jours devant eux

Many of you have been writing to ask about the eBrompton, which we were planning to launch about now.
The eBrompton project depended heavily on one supplier who has been through a complex restructuring over the past year. The consequences of that restructuring have proved particularly serious in terms of getting the right product within a reasonable timeframe and we are now rethinking the eBrompton project as a whole, possibly to include a greater proportion of the development work in-house.
Our aim has always been, and remains, the creation of an electric folding bicycle without the compromises found on many other products currently on the market, especially in the folding bike sector. The eBrompton is to fold, ride and be carried as freely as any other Brompton, while offering all the advantages of electric-assistance. There are still no satisfactory solutions available on the market to ‘electrify’ the Brompton. Therefore, we must again find partners to collaborate on a product that doesn’t yet exist.
We know that many of you have been waiting patiently for news of this development; we wish the news were better. But as always, we would rather take our time and get it right even if it means disappointing people who expected something sooner.
So, without raising expectations about timing, we will only say that we remain fully committed to bringing an eBrompton to market and that you will be among the first to get a chance to try it. And that we are really sorry not to have delivered yet.
